Electromagnetism

Ever build an electromagnet?



As he finished up this experiment, we talked about magnetic personalities. We looked up several bible verses that tell about what kinds of people we should seek as friends. Some verses give a principle for gaining or keeping friends. Those went in the Attract column. Some verses give an example for losing friends. Those went in the Repel column.

Here are a couple to ponder this afternoon. Attract or repel??

"Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man,lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare." Proverbs 22:24-25

"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."
Proverbs 17:17

"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17

"If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter or the wife you embrace or your friend who is as your own soul entices you secretly, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods,' which neither you nor your fathers have known, some of the gods of the peoples who are around you, whether near you or far off from you, from the one end of the earth to the other, you shall not yield to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him." Deuteronomy 13:6-8

"Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy." Proverbs 27:6


Other news of the day.....

We are enjoying the last of these brisk mornings. Too soon, the humidity will rise and the day will become almost unbearable. On the bright side....we already made it through one season like the one coming, so at least we know what to expect.



Also exciting today.....this veggie plate for lunch! We can't get broccoli or cauliflower here in our local, outdoor market. So I was VERY excited to see these in the market in the city last weekend. I'm trying to make them last, but my boys are eating them almost as fast as me. Thankful for ranch packets (sent in a care package from the States) to make dip with....added to creme fraiche since we can't get sour cream here either. And the sugar snap peas? Also nonexistent where we are. I brought those beauties back with me from Kenya. :) Yum-O!
