We took the kids to celebrate the Chinese New Year at the Discovery Center. Our friends Steve and Tiffany and their kids met us there after work. We had a good time, I think, but it would have been much better without an hour's worth of drumming after the Dragon Dance! Oh, the headaches that had started...at least in the adults...by the time we left. There's a new exhibit upstairs called The Monkey King: A Journey to China. Monkey King's story has been a favorite in China for hundreds of years. Children learned it from their grandparents, read it in comic books, and watched Monkey's acrobatics in Chinese opera. Today, Monkey's story appears on TV, DVD and in video games. We finally had to pull the kids away from all the fun exhibits so we could stop the banging in our heads....plus, we were getting very hungry! Dinner at CiCi's pizza place stopped all the pain! FUUUUUN! What a great picture of Luke! The kids had a blast on Friday and all that pizza ~ it was yuuuummy!
