When the Lord brought back the captives
to Zion, we were like men who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
The Lord has done great things for them.
Psalm 126:1-2
Over 90 percent of HIV infection in sub-Saharan Africa is transmitted heterosexually. Studies show girls often become infected with HIV at a younger age than boys. Men must hear the message of God's standard for holiness and salvation.
Pray that Africans will come to know the Lord and embrace His rules for pure behavior.

I too have considered service on the great continent of Africa. There are countries there that only have about 30 doctors per NATION with supplies that wouldn't last a day in one of our USA clinics. There is a desperate need for people to serve in all areas of life from education, medical and last but not least, spiritual. A change in this part of the world is going to require a lot of selfless people giving selflessly! Is it in your heart?
Blessings upon all-

Hey Pam!
So glad to see you blogging! It will be a great way to keep up with you guys so far away! Congratulations on the new marriage!
God has only begun working in mine and Rick's heart about Africa in the last few months. We've begun a prayer initiative with a group of people from church and are seeking God's direction as to which people group to be involved with. I'm especially burdened for the children affected by AIDS. We'll see where He leads.
Tell everyone we said hello!
